The Rocky Mountain Bear sculpture series represents the artist’s interpretation of the bears she sees near her home in Canmore Alberta.  Based on the body type of the Black Bear and Grizzly, minimal sculptural lines are used to define the body of the bear sculpture.  The head provides more detail and character to each individual piece.

  “I try to convey the classic characteristics of a bear while incorporating the features that we find so endearing. I find that the medium of glass lends itself well to the essence form and features of a bear.”
